Each navX-Model sensor is identified by a Type and Generation. Since each Model uses a different firmware file, it's important to understand the navX-Model sensor Type/Generation when updating firmware. The following directions indicate how each Model is identified.

navX-Model Types: navX-Micro, navX-MXP
navX-Model Generations: "Classic", "Generation 2"

The Generation of navX-Micro sensors may be identified by the product name on the bottom left corner of the circuit board top silkscreen, as shown below:
