The navX2-Micro Enclosure is recommended to protect the navX2-Micro Robotics Navigation Sensor circuit board from excessive handling, “swarf”, electro-static discharge (ESD) and other elements that could potentially damage the navX-Micro circuitry.
The navX2-Micro Enclosure is designed to support the 16mm mounting grid on a Matrix or Tetrix robotics system as used in FTC robotics. This enclosure is also backwards-compatible with the first-generation navX-Micro Sensor.
The enclosure includes 7 holes, as shown below:
#4-40 screws may be used to secure the base to a chassis, using the three holes in the "tab" on the base (see the right-hand side of the diagram above).
The enclosure also comes with a set of 4 #4-40 nylon screws (5/8" in length) and matching hex nuts - these are used to firmly attach the "lid" to the "base" (see the left-hand side and middle of the diagram above).
